This Privacy Policy explains how Technology Tutor ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use technologytutor.academy (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Technology Tutor is a free online academy for AI and technology, part of The Tutor Academy family of sites. You can reach us at migliorc@gmail.com or via our contact page.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: email, display name, and provider ID when you sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
• Content you create: saved posts, saved prompts, tool run history, quiz results, course progress, and comments.
• Newsletter: email address when you subscribe.
• Usage analytics: anonymous events (page path, event name, timestamp) used to understand what content works.
• Device data: IP, user agent, and referrer, collected by our hosting and analytics providers.

3. How we use your information

• Operate the Site, authenticate you, and save your content.
• Send transactional email (sign-in, account, digest you subscribed to).
• Measure aggregate usage and improve courses, tools, and posts.
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• Show advertising through Google AdSense (see §6).

4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to provide the account and Site), legitimate interest (analytics, security, service improvement), and consent (advertising cookies and any non-essential tracking). You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner.

5. Third parties

We share data with service providers strictly to run the Site:

• Supabase — authentication, database, storage.
• Cloudflare / Lovable — hosting and edge runtime.
• Google — sign-in, Search Console, and AdSense advertising.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple.
• Lovable AI Gateway — powers the interactive tools.
• Firecrawl — fetches cited source articles for the editorial pipeline.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your account data with advertisers.

6. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you signed in), preferences (theme, consent choice), and analytics.

Once enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you consent. Google's use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com. EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors are shown a consent banner and advertising cookies are only set after consent.

7. Data retention

Account and content data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account (Profile → Danger Zone), we delete your account and its associated content. Anonymous analytics events may be retained in aggregate. Backups are rotated on our providers' standard schedules.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. You can delete your account yourself at any time in Profile → Danger Zone, or contact us at migliorc@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
